Over the weekend, I went to visit a friend who lives on Long Island. I had to take the train at Penn Station. It was very crowded with other travelers. This particular corridor has different stores on either side that sell everything — from food, clothing, flowers, and whatever you can think of. Happy New York Monday, everyone!

New York Monday: More Autumn Colors
December 11, 2011 | Filed Under New York Monday | 6 Comments

Autumn is my favorite season and I love the city in its fall colors .The stunning shades of reds, oranges, greens, yellows, browns… are all appealing. You can’t accurately find these colors in a crayon box or on a paint palette.

I know that by this time of the year, all the leaves are supposed to have disappeared. However, there are many colorful trees hanging on to many trees in the city. Just like this one.
Happy New York Monday, everyone! Have a great week!

New York Monday: Lineup at Pinkberry
December 4, 2011 | Filed Under New York Monday | 6 Comments

I pass by this Pinkberry, a frozen dessert restaurant in Harlem/Morningside Heights, all the time. Yet, I’ve never been inside. They serve frozen yogurt, smoothies, fruit bowls and fruit parfait. Pinkberry is a pretty popular spot. Seems the desserts are very addictive and the place is affectionally called "Crackberry."

A long time ago, I used to read a girl’s blog that documented and shared her Pinkberry addiction with others. She was interested in discussing all things "important" about Pinkberry — like which locations served the most toppings, or which locations were the busiest on the weekdays or weekend , which locations ran out of her favorite flavors, how to eat Pinkberry at home, etc… You know — that kind of important Pinkberry stuff.

I once asked her dessert recommendations for a first timer at Pinkberry.
"You can’t go wrong with mango or pineapple and if you like gummy/chewy things you should try the mochi," she replied.
So, there you go. Now you know what to order when you go to a Pinkberry near you.
Happy New York Monday, everyone! Have a great week.
