It’s Black and White Wednesday! Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook hosts this culinary photography event.
Stop by her blog to see who else played.
I have no idea how to eat or cook an artichoke. I tried once but it was a disaster. Then I tasted canned artichoke. Yuck! Didn’t taste good at all. So, I no longer eat it. If you have any tips about cooking and eating artichoke, please feel free to share with me. Thanks!

Your photos turned out really well! I’m no artichoke expert, either. I usually just use the hearts!
Hi Lauren: Welcome and thanks! I have a lot to learn about artichokes.

Nice artichokes and black & white pictures!
Cheers,
Rosa
I have not had good experience with American artichokes, whereas I grew up eating excellent artichokes in Italy. I am afraid that if I draw any conclusion from that statement, it may sound disrespectful of domestic artichoke production. I wish I could have you taste my mother’s artichokes “Jewish style:” they will always be my favorite artichoke dish. I find it interesting that you were able to take lovely photos of a food you have no good feelings for
Love the photo, but I have not cooked artichoke ever. Have a great week
great shot and even better pirce 4/5.oo
Hi Rosa: Thank you!
Oh, Simona! I would have loved to taste your mom’s artichokes. I had to laugh out loud at your comment about me taking a nice photo of a food, with which I didn’t have a good experience. Thanks for the compliment. ;-D

Hi Mari: Thanks! I would rather taste your Baked Sweet Potatoes Cup with Batata than artichokes, right now.
Hi Vianney: Thanks! If I knew what to do with artichokes, then I would appeciate the 4 for five dollars deal.

Oh, how I miss artichokes! Wow, how I miss them! Great shots!
Thanks, David. You will have to tell me, one day, how you prepare and eat it.
