New York Monday: Sidewalk Gardening

June 21, 2009 | Filed Under New York Monday

A few weeks ago, back in May.  Planting flowers on the sidewalk.

Ed. Note:   A few of you have asked what the flowers look like.  I was in another neighborhood and took a photo of a similar sidewalk garden, which you can see below.

  3. That is indeed so nice!

  4. Lovely idea – is this an official NY thing, or just individuals planting outside their homes, or…? How do they look now?

  5. Hi Everyone:

The flowers look nice — a bit waterlogged, since it’s rained a lot for the past two weeks, going on three. When I have a chance, I’ll take a photo.

Terry, I’m not sure if it’s an official NY thing but there are flowers on a lot of streets. Flowers all over.

    Thanks for stopping by, all!

    Paz
