What a fun meme. Love your stories. I love cartoons, too, (the good, old ones like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tom & Jerry, etc.) and watch kiddie shows like Arthur every chance I get.

As for not being star struck, that makes you a true New Yorker. My sister and I have talked about this from time to time. We think that New Yorkers’ taking celebrities in stride is due to a respect for their privacy. I’ll never forget being at Trader Vic’s for dinner with friends one night when I happened to notice Tonight Show host Jack Paar and actor Hans Conried come in. By chance, across that crowded dining room, my eyes and Paar’s met. I slowly nodded my head as a Hello, with a little smile, and he slowly nodded his head with a little smile. That’s about the extent of a New Yorker’s intrusion on a star’s privacy, and I was thrilled.

As for dancing, well, you know me. I gotta dance.
