New York Monday #100: Soul Food

LOL!  I think this is the only building in New York that is painted yellow and red.  This restaurant is located underneath an apartment building.

    What a fun sign. I have been reading about Soul Food in the Summer issue of Gastronomica: very interesting. And what a fun interview!

    Hey Paz, Thanks for the mention! Now, have you eaten the soul food at the pictured restaurant? The only soul food restaurant I know about in NYC is Sylvia’s, but rumor has it that the menu there has something to be desired…Maybe once you start feeding busloads of tourists the soul that’s put into the food gets spread around a little too thinly. Just a (silly?) thought. cheerio, m :wink:
